Sources: Team Heretics exploring alternatives in support position, Stend's spot not guaranteed

Team Heretics have wasted little time in considering changes this year. Following a LEC Versus campaign that ended in underwhelming playoff results, the Spanish organization is reportedly exploring alternatives in the support role, sources tell Sheep Esports.

Such a move would involve benching , who has been part of the roster since the start of 2025. No definitive decision has yet been made regarding his future, and he could remain with the team next split if Team Heretics fail to identify a satisfactory replacement.

According to sources close to Sheep Esports, Stend remains motivated to keep playing and is also looking for offers outside of Europe.

After making three offseason adjustments, Team Heretics appeared to have established a stable foundation for the year ahead. However, in the wake of the first split, the team may already be contemplating further modifications. Stend was one of only two players retained from the previous season, alongside Théo “Sheo” Borile, yet he could now be the first to be sidelined following a disappointing start to the campaign.

Despite early struggles, Team Heretics recovered to secure the fourth seed in the regular season. The playoffs, however, did not unfold favorably for the Spanish side, as they reverted to some of the inconsistencies that had marked their regular season, suffering disappointing defeats to G2 Esports and subsequently to GIANTX.

After a promising rookie season last year, in which he even received a few votes for Rookie of the Year, Stend was retained as part of the organization’s long-term plans. Nevertheless, performances that fell short of his established standards during this LEC Versus appear to have prompted a reassessment. The player has been informed of the team’s position; while he has not been definitively removed from the roster, his place for the upcoming split is no longer assured.
